1.      Bond’s parents were Andrew Bond, a Scottish man, and Monique Delacroix, a Swiss woman. Mr. Bond worked for a weapons company and traveled often with his family. Both parents died when Bond was 11.

2.      He lived with an aunt in England, studied at Eton and Fettes College in Edinburgh, graduated from high school at 17 and was recruited into the Royal Navy. “The world is not enough” is the Bond family motto. (Incidentally, Fleming also studied at Eton and was recruited into naval intelligence.)
3.      From Dr. No to Quantum of Solace, James Bond has killed 352 people and slept with 52 women.

4.      Q’s real name, Major Boothroyd, is only mentioned in Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and The Spy Who Loved Me.
5.      Fleming chose the name “James Bond” because he wanted to find a name “as mundane as possible.” Bond’s namesake is actually the ornithologist Dr. James Bond – lifted from a bird watching book that Fleming had handy.

6.      Stuntman Bob Simmons is the figure who appears in the opening gun barrel sequence for the first three James Bond movies.
7.     Richard Kiel, who played Jaws, could only keep his metal teeth in his mouth for about half a minute at a time, and the chain that he bit through at the Pyramids in The Spy Who Loved Me was made of licorice.

8.      Many claim the Bond character was based on Ian Fleming: both preferred coffee to tea, smoked the same kind of cigarettes, were commanders in the British Navy, loved women, and preferred their martinis shaken – not stirred. Fleming was also a spy. Once he was recruited into naval intelligence, he became the personal assistant to Admiral John Godfrey – who may have served as inspiration for M.
9.      M’s house in Skyfall is the former home of John Barry, Bond composer.
10.      President JFK is partly responsible for Bond’s success in the US. In a 1961 interview with Life Magazine, he listed From Russia, With Love as one of his favorite novels of all time. Sales boomed, and the next Bond film made was From Russia, With Love due to the president’s influence. Incidentally, this is the last movie JFK ever saw – he watched it one day before his trip to Texas in 1963. JFK also included Fleming in conversations about how to defeat Fidel Castro in Cuba – perhaps why some of the plans sound like something out of a James Bond novel!

     A former Fidel Castro close friend and Cuban official now living in Canada few years ago make a sensational  confession about former Cuban president.

     According to International Business Times there is growing concern among US military and intelligence officials that Russia could sever underwater fiber-optic cables upon which governments, economies and citizens depend, reports suggest. 

     More than a dozen officials have confirmed the Pentagon is focusing significant attention on the movements of Russian spy ships and submarines in the vicinity of cable routes that carry electronic communications.

     Details of Russia's naval activities are highly classified, however sources close to the matter have reportedly revealed suspicious activity has been monitored in the North Sea, north east Asia and close to US shores. Some officials have gone as far as to call the level of Russian activity around these cables as "comparable to what we saw in the Cold War".

     The cables are so vital to global electronic communications and commerce that the Department of Homeland Security lists them at the top of its list of most important "critical infrastructure". More than 95% of daily communications are carried along them and are said to be worth more than $10tn (£6.5tn) to global business. Pentagon planners believe if diplomatic relations break down, Russia could target cables in deep, mid-ocean locations that are difficult to repair.

     The science behind it does exist and the application of the practice is called cryonics. It’s a technique used to store a person’s body at an extremely low temperature with the hope of one day reviving them. This technique is being performed today, but the technology behind it is still in its infancy. Someone preserved this way is said to be in cryonic suspension.

     Despite the fact that no human placed in a cryonic suspension has yet been revived, some living organisms can be, and have been, brought back from a dead or near-dead state. CPR and Defibrillators can bring accident and heart attack victims back from the dead daily. Neurosurgeons often cool patients’ bodies so they can operate on aneurysms without damaging or rupturing the nearby blood vessels. Human embryos that are frozen in fertility clinics, defrosted and implanted in a mother’s uterus grow into perfectly normal human beings. Some frogs and other amphibians have a protein manufactured by their cells that act as a natural antifreeze which can protect them if they’re frozen completely solid.

     Cryonics it’s currently illegal to perform cryonic suspension on someone who is still alive. Those who wish to be cryogenically frozen must first be pronounced legally dead – which means their heart has stopped beating. Though, if they’re dead, how can they ever be revived? According to companies who perform the procedure, ‘legally dead’ is not the same as ‘totally dead.’ Total death, they claim, is the point at which all brain function ceases. They claim that the difference is based on the fact that some cellular brain function remains even after the heart has stopped beating. Cryonics preserves some of that cell function so that, at least theoretically, the person can be brought back to life at a later date. Many critics say the companies that perform cryonics are simply ripping off customers with the dream of immortality and they won’t deliver. It doesn’t help that the scientists who perform cryonics say they haven’t successfully revived anyone, and don’t expect to be able to do so anytime soon. The largest hurdle is that, if the warming process isn’t done at exactly the right speed and temperature, the cells could form ice crystals and shatter.

     Cryobiologists are hopeful that nanotechnology will make revival possible someday. Nanotechnology can use microscopic machines to manipulate single atoms to build or repair virtually anything, including human cells and tissues. They hope one day, nanotechnology will repair not only the cellular damage caused by the freezing process, but also the damage caused by aging and disease. Some cryobiologists have predicted that the first cryonic revival might occur as early as year 2045.

In his opinion, while the incorruption of the bodies of saints was the effect of a divine intervention, all the phenomena attributed to vampires were purely natural or the fruit of “imagination, terror and fear”. In other words, vampires did not exist

     The controversy only ceased when Empress Maria Theresa of Austria sent her personal physician, Gerard van Swieten, to investigate the claims of vampiric entities. He concluded that vampires did not exist and the Empress passed laws prohibiting the opening of graves and desecration of bodies, sounding the end of the vampire epidemics. Despite this condemnation, the vampire lived on in artistic works and in local superstition.

     The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engined sports car, designed and developed in Germany by the Volkswagen Group and manufactured in Molsheim, France, by Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. The original version has a top speed of 407 km/h (253 mph). It was named Car of the Decade and best car award (2000–2009) by the BBC television programme Top Gear. The standard Bugatti Veyron also won Top Gear's Best Car Driven All Year award in 2005.

     A controversy developed in 2013 over the Veyron Super Sport's status as the world’s fastest production car, ultimately resolved in the Veyron's favour.

     In early April 2013, driving.co.uk (also known as Sunday Times Driving) began an investigation following claims from US car maker Hennessey that its 928 kW (1,244 bhp) Hennessey Venom GT was entitled to the Guinness World Record. With a recorded speed of 427.6 km/h (265.7 mph) the Hennessey was 3.4 km/h (2.1 mph) slower than the Veyron but Hennessey dismissed Bugatti’s official record saying that the Veyron Super Sport was restricted to 415 km/h (258 mph) in production form and that for it to achieve its record top speed of 431.0 km/h (267.8 mph), the car used was in a state of tune not available to customers. Hennessey said its Venom GT was road-ready and unmodified and was therefore a production car in the strict sense of the term.

     Driving.co.uk requested clarification from Guinness World Records, which investigated this claim and found that the modification was against the official guidelines of the record. Upon finding this, Guinness World Records voided the Super Sport's record and announced it was "reviewing this category with expert external consultants to ensure our records fairly reflect achievements in this field."

     After further review, Shelby Super Cars, the producers of the Ultimate Aero TT, said that they had reclaimed the record however Guinness reinstated the Super Sport's record after coming to the conclusion that "a change to the speed limiter does not alter the fundamental design of the car or its engine."

     According to The Hollywood Reporter, William Hill revealed that it slashed its odds of the Homeland star, Damien Lewis becoming the next James Bond by more than 75%, from 25/1 to 3/1. This propels Lewis ahead of Idris Elba (5/2), Tom Hardy (4/1), Henry Cavill (5/1), and Michael Fassbender (7/1). While we may not know the intricacies or influences of U.K. bookmakers, this doesn’t seem to be anything more than a friendly wager among friends.

     Back in 2013, Lewis joked to The Telegraph that Skyfall "paved the way perfectly for a redheaded Bond" by introducing the Scottish heritage. He also told Esquire magazine that it would be "wonderful" if he could pick up the mantle, but he would cross the bridge when he got there.

      Earlier this year, we were on the set of Spectre in Mexico City, where we spoke to producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson along with a crop of other journalists. In speaking about Craig’s future as James Bond, they said that he has an "open-ended contract " and implied that he can decide which films to do on a case-by-case basis. As expected, their official statement was that they’d like for him to play the character forever, but as Broccoli noted, a role like this eats up an actor’s life and most people have to be talked into it. Whether that’s something Lewis is still interested in is beyond us, and there’s not much evidence to suggest the actor is an actual contender. Even Elba , for whom fans have been campaigning to become the first black Bond, doesn’t seem like a legitimate contender.

     We still have a ways before we know if Craig will drop out of the franchise.
